Dr. Yana Todorova was born in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe. She grew in a family where food was the center of all reunions. She comes from a family of great cooks and foodies. Her grandmother and mother used to cook homemade food every day, so she started helping them in the kitchen when she was around 7-8 years old. Yana moved to Mexico when she was 17 . She was inspired by a different culture and acquired a love to learn different languages. She speaks Bulgarian, Spanish, English, and French . She studied at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. She obtained a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from this institution. Later, she moved to USA to pursue her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Texas Tech University. This is where she met her future husband. She started cooking everything from scratch and it became her real passion: she created new recipes, wrote in a blog and magazine, invited people over for entertaining. She was hoping one day she could attend culinary school. Afterwards, she and her husband moved to Bakersfield, California to teach classes at California State University. After their triplets were born, Yana was finally able to fulfil her passion. The whole family moved to Thailand and she studied basic, intermediate and advanced Patisserie at the most prestigious culinary school, Le Cordon Blue Dusit in Bangkok. This was an absolutely amazing experience that inspired Yana to open her business in 2019. In addition, she has taught a Basic Pastry course at the Levan Institute from Bakersfield College. When she is not in the kitchen, you can find her traveling around the world with her family or practicing Ashtanga yoga.
