Dr. Jared Salvo is a cardiologist specializing in heart rhythm disturbances (Cardiac Electrophysiology). The focus includes implantation of WATCHMAN devices, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization devices (bi-ventricular pacemakers), and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias including ablation of atrial fibrillation. Dr Salvo also practices preventative cardiology, general cardiology, and heart failure management. Dr. Salvo has been in practice for over 15 years. Dr Salvo is originally from New York but at an early age moved to Santa Clarita where he grew up until heading off to college. He completed his undergraduate training in Biology at UCLA. He then completed graduate school in Biophysics at Georgetown University and went on to complete medical school at Western University in Pomona, California. He took his Internal Medicine and Cardiology Fellowship training back at UCLA and then trained in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. Dr Salvo was recruited to Bakersfield in 2008 and has called Bakersfield his home since then. He is an avid fisherman and a Hot Rod- Muscle Car enthusiast. When he’s not fishing in the Eastern Sierra’s or wrenching on a classic car, you can find him at the Rose Bowl where he sits as a Board Member of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation supporting the Stadium and his favorite Alma Mater and football team (UCLA).
