The beginning of Baker’s Outpost all started when Canadian-born owner Laura Journey first met her husband lan at Outpost Lodge, located on a remote island in British Columbia. The two quickly connected over their mutual love of Canadian band City and Colour and talking about where they wanted to eat next.
Incredible dining experiences and west coast wandering, the couple moved to lan’s hometown of Bakersfield and Laura started to dream about offering something truly unique to the community.
